The purpose of this role is to ensure that Novartis has the talent, leadership, and skills to deliver on the aim of reimagining medicine. The role maximizes the impact of talent management across Novartis by building from the global early career framework and practices to create a sustainable pipeline of early-career talent that fuels long-term growth.
Success depends on staying highly connected to the Talent & Development Head, IM Germany, and collaborating closely with business leaders and teams within P&O, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and Learning. The incumbent will also support engagement with external organizations, strategic partners, and events aligned with early career talent attraction and engagement strategies.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Early Career Strategy : Work with the Talent & Development Head, IM Germany, to support the strategic vision for early careers, align initiatives with the INT Early Career team, and embed inclusion and diversity into the strategy.
- Program Review and Consolidation : Review existing early career programs in prioritized skill areas and consolidate them for effectiveness.
- Employer Branding : Partner with hiring managers and marketing/communications teams to craft high-impact, creative job adverts aligned with Novartis branding and value propositions to attract candidates.
Specific Program Management
- Apprenticeship & Dual Students : Lead and organize the full cycle from hiring to placement, providing support and guidance to apprentices and dual students, and aligning the program with broader talent initiatives.
- Trainee Program : Build strong relationships to identify organizational capabilities, develop strategies for trainee placement, and continually improve the program in collaboration with the early career team.
University Relations
- Relationship Development : Develop and maintain strategic relationships with universities, student organizations, and career centers, focusing on high-relevance institutions for strategic partnership.
Qualifications
- Degree in business administration, human resources, marketing, strategy, or MSc in Organizational Psychology.
- Certification as \“IHK Ausbildungsbeauftragter\“.
- Experience in executing early career interventions within a global matrix organization; talent management and acquisition experience preferred.
- Creative, innovative mindset with a focus on candidate experience and process improvement.
- Strong data management, tracking, and insights skills.
- Proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.
