Your mission
- Your tasks include entering accounts payable invoices, including handling all invoice-related workflow processes
- You will be responsible for checking, account assignment and posting incoming invoices and coordinating with the purchasing department and cost centre managers
- Your work will also focus on account clarification and reconciliation as well as accruals and deferrals
- You will support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Processing, controlling and monitoring the relevant G/L accounts are also part of your daily business
- You will be responsible for posting current bank transactions, fixed assets and monitoring vendor accounts
- You support the dunning process, including receivables management, and take over the preparation of advance VAT returns and summarised reports on behalf of the company
- Continuous further development and digitalisation in the area of accounting rounds off your area of responsibility
Your profile
- You have completed a commercial apprenticeship with an additional qualification as an accountant (m/f/diverse) or a degree in finance/business administration
- You have initial relevant professional experience in balance sheet accounting and very good knowledge of accounting in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Ideally, you have knowledge of commercial and tax law
- You are confident in working with ERP systems
- Ideally, you have a good command of written and spoken English
- You are characterised by analytical thinking, initiative and the ability to work independently and carefully
- Strong teamwork and communication skills round off your profile
