Group Procurement Raw Cementitious Materials Manager

For our Group Procurement team, we are seeking a Group Procurement Raw & Cementitious Materials Manager (f / m / d) . The Group Procurement RM & CM Manager is responsible for managing the global category spend on Raw materials (RM) and Cementitious Materials (CM) for Heidelberg Materials. This role involves supporting strategic formulation in this category, focusing on optimizing costs, quality, and availability across the organization. The position requires active category management, leveraging data-driven insights to ensure alignment across countries and departments, and supporting category cluster leads in enhancing key operations.

This position is based in Heidelberg (Germany) or other key markets (e.g., Europe, North America), reporting to the Global Category Leader (Alternate Raw Supplier Cementitious Materials).

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

1. Developing category strategies for RM & CM in collaboration with local teams to support strategic decision-making and optimize procurement performance, including sustainability considerations.
2. Sourcing raw and cementitious materials by leveraging industry expertise and providing category-specific insights to improve operational efficiency.
3. Supporting local tenders through bundling, standard negotiation strategies, and leading negotiations to secure favorable terms and reduce costs.
4. Conducting cost analyses and should-cost models to identify savings opportunities, including make-or-buy analyses.
5. Performing market benchmarking to evaluate procurement performance and identify improvement opportunities.
6. Collaborating with regional teams to ensure effective procurement practices and address regional challenges and opportunities.

YOUR PROFILE

1. Minimum 7 years of professional procurement experience, preferably within building materials or related chemical industries, managing large-scale projects and procurement strategies across diverse markets.
2. Technical expertise in cost analysis, supplier performance evaluation, manufacturing processes related to raw materials, and sourcing standards.
3. Excellent communication skills in English, stakeholder management experience, proactive and results-driven attitude, resilience, autonomy, and leadership qualities.
4. Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
