Team Leader Project Management (f/m/d)
For our Global Competence Center Cement (CCC) – Projects, we are looking for a Team Leader Project Management (f/m/d) .
The Heidelberg Competence Center Cement (CCCs) are responsible for the development and execution of all major or complex capex projects.
As a Team Leader Project Management, you will support OUs in the organization and implementation of investment projects with optimal cost/quality ratio according to the CCC Project Management Guideline, in line with the Heidelberg Materials strategy and the Role of CCC.
You will report to the Head of Cement Projects.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
- Successfully implement various size projects, ranging from an integrated cement plant to smaller sub-projects, within budget and given timeframe.
- Lead and manage in direct responsibility a multinational team of Project Managers.
- Support and co-operate with local management, as well as site management teams in various projects and countries.
- Strong co-operation with the other team leaders heading the expert and site management group.
- Maintain direct contact to OUs and RCOs to maximize involvement in the setting of project priorities and results.
- Ensure availability of experienced Senior Project Manager for large scale Greenfield/Brownfield projects.
- Play an essential role in the global purchasing activities and search on the worldwide market for potential contractors.
- Support and fertilize group-wide knowledge management in the field of project management.
- Education and training as well as staff development in the team.
- Regular assessment of project studies and reports, set up of action plans.
YOUR PROFILE
- University degree in civil/mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years professional experience in plant engineering and project management in engineering companies, engaged in heavy industries, building materials industries or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years management experience in leading a multinational project management team.
- Work experience in foreign countries is required; knowledge of CIS and Central European region would be a strong advantage.
- Experience in a matrix organisation; ability to influence and support country management without direct responsibility.
- Strong team building people management skills are required.
- Strong project management skills.
- Wide knowledge in cement plant engineering and operation.
- Very good English and good German skills. Additional language skills are of an advantage.
- Willingness to extensively travel abroad.
- Sound risk management skills.
