Offer Description

We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher for a one-year position within the EU-funded POLINA project, focusing on the development of advanced light-based 3D printing technologies for novel poly(amino acid) materials ( www.polina-project.eu ). The project will be carried out in the Institute for Molecular Systems Engineering and Advanced Materials at Heidelberg University. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of multidisciplinary teams in the Blasco group as well as with members of the European project consortium.

A scientific staff position (f/m/d) with a remuneration of 100% E13 is offered. Funding for the position is secured for one year from January 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and fabricate high-resolution 3D microstructures based on novel poly(amino acid) materials.
  • Investigate printing parameters, material properties and structure–process–property relationships.
  • Characterise fabricated structures using microscopy and relevant analytical techniques.
  • Collaboration with intersdisciplinary European research partners in the field of biomedicine.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in chemistry, material science or a related discipline, with experience in chemical synthesis, 3D printing, microfabrication, and photopolymerisation. Experience with material characterization is desired. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential.
