For Hamburg Headquarters we are recruiting a Senior Buyer (m/f/d) Confectionery & Food
Your new job includes:
As a Senior Buyer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for our top suppliers in the confectionery sector, ensuring long-term relationships based on partnership with the suppliers and brands you look after and securing optimum conditions in order to delight our customers. In particular, you will:
- be responsible for a portfolio of international confectionery brands and use your freedom in a goal-oriented manner to explore new avenues together with us in order to further develop your portfolio of suppliers and brands
- define, control and take responsibility for the strategic direction of the responsible suppliers and conduct negotiations independently
- be responsible for improving terms and conditions, pricing, distribution rights, investments and maintaining a long-term partnership with our suppliers
- optimize supplier structures with regard to costs, quality and performance
- be responsible for the pricing of our own suppliers within the framework of our product group strategy
- work closely with various interfaces, such as our sales departments, category management, and logistics
What you should bring along:
- A successfully completed degree in economics and/or comparable training
- The desire to take on a new challenge in the confectionery sector by taking responsibility for our top suppliers with enthusiasm and affinity for the product group and several years of professional experience in purchasing or product management in an international retail company, industry or start-up
- An assertive personality who keeps a cool head even when the workload is high
- Hands-on mentality in operational business with a strategic way of thinking and conceptual way of working
- Strong communication skills, even across different hierarchical levels, and very good analytical skills
- Business fluent in written and spoken German and English as well as good knowledge of MS Office and ideally SAP/ERP
