The organizational unit Hamburg Service vor Ort, founded on 01.04.2023, is part of the Ministry of Science, Research, Equality and Districts. Every day, more than 650 employees are committed to providing good services to the citizens of our city. The name Hamburg Service vor Ort says it all. Despite the increasing digitalization of our administrative services, we still offer personal advice and processing on-site at our locations.

The advertised position is part of the Intendanz des Hamburg Service vor Ort, located at Caffamacherreihe 1-3.

Your Tasks

  • Management of the ongoing IT operations section with 5 employees
  • Management of IT operations projects (software rollout, hardware replacement, peripherals, etc.)
  • Further development and optimization of IT operations
  • Maintenance of the Hamburg Service website and SharePoint administration
  • Collaboration in ongoing IT operations

Your Profile

Required

  • University degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Public Management, E-Government or another administrative, economic or legal field
  • Specialist knowledge equivalent to a university degree
  • Completed training in an administrative or office-related commercial profession or equivalent specialist knowledge and additional professional experience in administrative or office-related commercial activities at Bachelor’s level (e.g. in the public sector from level 9b) or with five years of professional experience in the specialist areas of the advertised position
  • For civil servants: qualification for career group 2, first entry-level post in the general services discipline

Advantageous

  • Several years of professional experience in IT processing
  • Experience managing smaller projects or involvement in projects
  • Some experience in managing employees, e.g. as a deputy
  • Strong service orientation
  • High degree of independence, personal responsibility, cooperation, and assertiveness
