Your tasks:

1. You will support and advise our customers throughout Germany in setting up and operating complex Linux systems.
2. You train system integration techniques and methods for our employees and customers.
3. You support our System Integration departments with your skills.
4. You follow current IT trends and evaluate new technologies, tools and frameworks.
5. In line with our guiding principle \“Knowledge increases by sharing it\“, you will pass on your expertise to others – both to your colleagues and our students as well as in projects with customers. You can also share your knowledge in our ORDIX blog ( as a speaker in our seminars or at specialist conferences – depending on your strengths.

Your profile:

1. Enjoy the activities in IT.
2. (Technical) university degree in computer science or comparable completed training and at least three years of professional experience.
3. Experience in setting up and operating complex environments.
4. Extensive experience in the administration of Linux and Unix systems.
5. Knowledge of container virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
6. Experience with one of the common public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
7. Experience with storage systems is also welcome.
8. You are strong in communication and also in presentation.
9. Very good written and spoken German (at least B2, more likely C1), you also have a good command of English.

Technological environment, methods, tools and processes used:

1. Linux and Unix.
2. ITSM tools and ticket system.
3. Automation / Infrastructure as Code in all facets (Shell, Ansible/Puppet, Terraform).
4. Public cloud provider, Kubernetes.
5. Operating processes according to ITIL or agile.

Typical project activities:

1. Development and operation of a software delivery pipeline.
2. Consulting on development projects for cloud integration.
3. Coordination of patch management for a heterogeneous Linux environment.
