We are in provisional budget management. Subject to the approval of the 2025 budget, we are looking for you at the earliest possible date as a System Administrator (m/f/d) .

We need you as a competent and service-oriented employee in our IT service department. Together with you, we want to make the municipality’s IT infrastructure efficient.

As part of the team, you will ensure that:

• The required IT applications are available to users, including first and second level support.
• The expansion of the IT infrastructure meets the constantly increasing requirements.
• The security of the networks and the integrity of the data is guaranteed at all times.

You see yourself as an IT service provider for the municipality of Wandlitz, including its facilities, and are primarily responsible for ensuring the functionality of the IT infrastructure in the municipality of Wandlitz.

Your Tasks:

• Support of the IT infrastructure:

– Installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers and network components.

– Ensuring data backup and recovery.

– Analyzing and rectifying faults.

• Management of server virtualization:

– Planning, implementation, and management of virtual servers and IT resources.

• First level support:

– Support of employees with technical problems and inquiries.

• Support for specialist applications:

– Support with requirements analysis and software selection.

– Installation and customization of software solutions.

– Setup and maintenance of system data and application parameters.

– User administration and user support.

We Expect From You:

• You have a high degree of initiative and enjoy working independently. Your willingness to learn and familiarize yourself with new systems sets you apart. We also value your ability to work in a team, flexibility, and resilience.
• A service-oriented, structured, and conscientious way of working is a matter of course for you.
• You are reliable, discreet, and impress with your negotiating skills.
• You have at least C1 level German.
• A class B driving license rounds off your profile.

Your Profile:

• You have a degree in information technology or a comparable qualification.
• You have several years of experience in the administration of server and network systems as well as in the implementation of IT projects and the administration of client-server environments.
• You have sound knowledge in the following areas:

– MS Active Directory, directory service infrastructures, MS Exchange, and group policies.

– Data backup software (e.g., Veeam).

– Client management software (e.g., Baramundi).

– Network infrastructures and network security, including firewalls, security policies, and NAC (Network Access Control) systems.

– Virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V).
