At the Institute of Epigenetics and Stem Cells (IES) , we aim to unlock a cell’s full potential by understanding how a single cell can give rise to all the cells in our body at the beginning of life.
For our institute we are looking for a senior coordinator (f/m/x) in part time (20%) to support planning and managing activities for a specific project. This is a 6 months job offer, starting on 1st of July 2025 , with specific tasks to be planned, executed and delivered by end of 2025.
Your tasks:
- Support the Institute Director in planning, coordinating, and executing scientific events.
- Manage event logistics, scientific content, and all internal/external communication.
- Ensure smooth execution of events through effective organization and coordination.
- Liaise with international institutions and researchers for event coordination.
- Oversee communication with stakeholders to facilitate successful collaborations.
Your profile:
- Completed scientific studies (with a Master’s or doctoral degree) in biology or a comparable field.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in event organization, coordination, and planning.
- Proven experience in managing and training events, as well as organizing activities for students and/or postdocs.
- Fluent written and spoken English and German required.
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in the epigenetics and chromatin fields is a plus.

If you fulfil all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 13. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). This position is for a fixed term of 6 months.
