What You'll Be Doing Take ownership of detailed underwriting analyses for Energy accounts, including risk engineering exposures, terms and conditions, pricing, and capacity deployment.

Assess key risk exposures, normal loss expectancies, and maximum possible loss scenarios to support sound underwriting decisions.

Evaluate and actively manage accumulations, including natural catastrophe exposures, with a strong focus on portfolio quality.

Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients, building sustainable solutions that balance client needs with long-term profitability.

Ensure underwriting decisions are fully aligned with Helvetia Group directives and governance standards.

Build and deepen your knowledge of the Energy client and broker network, strengthening trusted relationships across the market.

Represent Helvetia at national and international client and broker meetings, site inspections, and selected industry events.

Contribute to a motivated, agile, and ambitious team that values collaboration, expertise, and entrepreneurial thinking.

Work closely with our claims experts on large and complex claims, ensuring a holistic view of risks and client solutions.

What You'll Bring To The Role A university degree, ideally in engineering, natural sciences, business, or a related field; an additional commercial qualification such as an MBA would be an advantage.

Relevant experience in Energy underwriting or hands-on expertise from the Energy industry Strong analytical skills combined with a confident approach to negotiation, client engagement, and business development.

Sound business acumen and a good understanding of Energy insurance markets, trends, and client needs.

A proactive mindset, genuine passion for tackling complex challenges, and the ambition to deliver high-quality results.

The ability to build trusted partnerships across teams and departments and to collaborate effectively towards shared goals.

A positive, flexible, and team-oriented personality with the ability to thrive in an international and dynamic environment.

Excellent English skills; German language skills are highly preferred.
