Legal Advisor in Genève

ppFor a bSwiss financial institution based in Geneva /b, we are looking for a bLegal Advisor /b to provide proactive, hands-on legal support across the organization. /p pWorking closely with the Head of Legal Compliance, you will advise different departments on legal matters, manage legal files and documentation, and contribute to the mitigation of legal and regulatory risks. /p pThe role also includes collaboration with the Compliance function on cross-functional matters. /p h3Key responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide legal advice and guidance to the Bank's various departments on a broad range of legal matters. /li liHandle civil, criminal and administrative requests, investigations and proceedings involving relevant authorities. /li liDraft, review and negotiate legal agreements, banking documentation and security documentation. /li liProvide legal support to bCommodity Trade Finance, Wealth Management and Financial Institutions /b activities. /li liReview internal rules, directives and forms to ensure compliance with applicable legislation. /li liConduct legal research and provide practical recommendations on Swiss banking matters. /li liNegotiate and finalize legal documentation with clients and their legal representatives. /li liHandle client succession-related files. /li liCoordinate with and monitor external legal counsel on banking matters and litigation. /li liMonitor developments in Swiss laws and regulations relevant to the Bank's activities. /li liIdentify new legal requirements and support their implementation internally. /liliProvide support to the Compliance function on cross-functional matters. /li liPrepare legal reports, minutes and internal documentation. /li liOrganize internal legal training when required. /li liAct as a back-up to the Head of Legal Compliance on legal matters. /li /ul h3Your profile /h3 ul lib8–10+ years of relevant professional experience in the Swiss banking sector /b, ideally in a similar in-house legal position. /li libStrong experience and knowledge of Commodity Trade Finance – mandatory. /b /li liGood understanding of banking regulatory and compliance matters. /li liVery good knowledge of the Swiss banking environment and applicable laws and regulations. /li liExcellent legal analysis, drafting and negotiation skills. /li liAbility to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet deadlines. /li liAutonomous, well organized and pragmatic approach. /li liStrong communication and interpersonal skills. /li liHigh level of professional integrity and discretion. /li liComfortable with standard IT and MS Office tools. /li libFluent French and English /b, both written and spoken. /li libSwiss residency required. /b /li /ul h3What is offered /h3 ul liInternational and multicultural banking environment. /li liBroad and hands-on legal responsibilities. /li liClose interaction with senior stakeholders and business teams. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
