About this Position

What you’ll do

• Develop products,processes, and application methods for surface treatment solutions alongthe entire metal coil value chain, aligned with business strategy andproduct development projects
• Evaluate new rawmaterials and assess their technical suitability within productformulations
• Support the introductionof newly developed products and processes at customer productionfacilities in close collaboration with application engineering and salesteams
• Contribute to theprotection of intellectual property by preparing patents and technicalpublications
• Monitor market trends andemerging scientific and technical developments through literature reviewsand patent research
• Build and share expertiseby exchanging knowledge across interdisciplinary teams and presentingfindings to international colleagues
• Collaborate closelywithin a global product development team and cross-functionally withsales, application engineering, production, marketing, and patent teams

What makes you a good fit

• Completed vocational training as a chemicallaboratory with technician certification, Bachelor's degree, Master'sdegree, or equivalent qualification in organic chemistry, polymer science,material chemistry or a related field
• 5 years ofhands-on laboratory experience inproduct development or application development is required
• Strong expertise in metal pretreatmenttechnologies and/or lubricant formulations, ideally combined with know-howin polymers, adhesives, or related material systems; knowledge of Designof Experiments (DoE) is a plus
• Structured, proactive and curious mindset withstrong ownership and problem-solving skills combined with Hands-onattitude and willingness to work in laboratory and pilot environments
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to supportcustomer visits, product trials, and manufacturing processes
• Fluent English skills; German language skills area plus
