YOUR ROLE
- Support Henkel’s efforts in Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) under the German Supply Chain Act, and future regulatory requirements (e.g., Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive).
- Coordinate Henkel’s Human Rights risk analysis process, including implementation of improvements.
- Liaise and work with internal functions (e.g., Purchasing Sustainability) and Business Units, as well as external partners, to support Henkel’s due diligence efforts and provide Human Rights expertise and guidance.
- Carry out regular updates of relevant internal HRDD guidelines, procedures, and accompanying documents.
- Provide support in communicating on Social and Human Rights inquiries (e.g., from customers, investors, NGOs), or other reporting requests such as input for ratings and rankings or further legal reporting requirements.
- Support Social Impact strategy implementation by monitoring progress against targets and KPIs.
- Support annual reporting and disclosures concerning Henkel’s Human Rights topics.
- Participate and engage in external initiatives/working groups to gather best practice and advance Henkel’s positioning in the global arena.
YOUR SKILLS
- Advanced (Masters) University Degree in Business, Social Science, Sustainability, or similar field; legal background an asset but not a must-have.
- 3 years’ experience in the field of Sustainability, with experience in Human Rights Due Diligence and risk analysis (essential) in either a corporate setting, consulting or international organization.
- Strong project and data management skills.
- Detail oriented, strong analytical skills and the ability to drive implementation.
- Ability to network internally and liaise with different Functions and Business Units.
- Fluent in English and German.
