Job Responsibilities
- Execute internal audits (primarily focused on Finance and Accounting) across various business units based on the annually approved audit plan.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of key controls at Henkel, identify actions to address risks, ensure compliance, and improve business processes.
- Prepare audit reports with clear findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.
- Communicate audit results and findings effectively to relevant stakeholders, including top management.
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective implementation.
- Collaborate actively with cross-functional teams within the Corporate Audit department and outside (e.g., with the 2nd line of defense).
- Stay updated on changes in regulations, auditing standards, and industry trends.
- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement or control enhancement.
- Contribute ideas for developing the annual audit plan based on risk assessments.
- Manage own projects with a focus on process optimization and risk management.
- Travel internationally up to 40%, including abroad.
Candidate Profile
What makes you a good fit
- University degree and MBA in Business Administration with a focus on Finance or related fields.
- Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a multinational environment (e.g., external auditing firm, internal audit, or internal controls).
- Solid experience in relevant financial evaluation.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), risk management, and governance practices.
- Exceptional analytical skills, process curiosity, and attention to detail.
- Assertiveness and the ability to manage conflicts constructively.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- International mindset and readiness to work in diverse international settings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and financial reporting systems.
