Job Responsibilities

  1. Execute internal audits (primarily focused on Finance and Accounting) across various business units based on the annually approved audit plan.
  2. Evaluate the effectiveness of key controls at Henkel, identify actions to address risks, ensure compliance, and improve business processes.
  3. Prepare audit reports with clear findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.
  4. Communicate audit results and findings effectively to relevant stakeholders, including top management.
  5. Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective implementation.
  6. Collaborate actively with cross-functional teams within the Corporate Audit department and outside (e.g., with the 2nd line of defense).
  7. Stay updated on changes in regulations, auditing standards, and industry trends.
  8. Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement or control enhancement.
  9. Contribute ideas for developing the annual audit plan based on risk assessments.
  10. Manage own projects with a focus on process optimization and risk management.
  11. Travel internationally up to 40%, including abroad.

Candidate Profile

What makes you a good fit

  1. University degree and MBA in Business Administration with a focus on Finance or related fields.
  2. Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is advantageous.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a multinational environment (e.g., external auditing firm, internal audit, or internal controls).
  4. Solid experience in relevant financial evaluation.
  5. Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), risk management, and governance practices.
  6. Exceptional analytical skills, process curiosity, and attention to detail.
  7. Assertiveness and the ability to manage conflicts constructively.
  8. Self-driven with the ability to work independently and in teams.
  9. International mindset and readiness to work in diverse international settings.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  11. Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and financial reporting systems.
