About this position
What you\’ll do
- Acts as a lead and most senior member of the team, overseeing the implementation of projects, mentoring junior colleagues, and driving technical excellence across data products
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust data pipelines using modern data engineering practices
- Transform raw data into analysis-ready datasets, empowering end users and supporting business decision-making
- Implement DevOps best practices, including automated code generation, data validation, and environment maintenance (development, test, production)
- Write production-quality code while following best practices for maintainability, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, promoting data-driven decision-making and ensuring efficient use of data assets
- Participate in cross-functional agile teams to develop and deliver high-quality data products at speed
- Ensure clear, consistent documentation of datasets, processes, and analysis, while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and unified data standards
- Collaborate with the platform team to discover opportunities to improve our systems and processes to have high-quality data
What makes you a good fit
- Master\’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data integration, modeling, and provisioning, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud data ecosystems (e.g., Microsoft Azure)
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and DAX, with experience in ETL/ELT design, data specifications, and quality assurance
- Hands-on experience with Databricks preferred
- Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines and enterprise scale development using tools like Azure DevOps
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex data concepts to business stakeholders
- Fluency in English is required; German is a plus
