Summary
We are looking for a “Systems Engineer with a focus on mechatronics (f/m/d)” for the “Sights” development area at the Wetzlar site as soon as possible. Within the “Sights” development area, various disciplines such as software, optics, electronics, and mechanics are combined to develop high-quality optronic vision systems. Our observation devices combine information from multiple sensors operating at visible and infrared wavelengths to provide the user with reliable information even under the most challenging conditions and ensure the success of their mission.
Your Tasks
- Coordination and technical management of the interdisciplinary product development team
- Holistic support of new components, assemblies, and systems with a variety of functions, interfaces, and links as part of the development assignment
- Checking technical requirements for assemblies or systems for their feasibility, achievement of development goals, and their impact on existing systems, standards, and guidelines
- Technical support for development activities for new products, test facilities, and product maintenance of legacy products
- Supporting cost estimates for the preparation of offers in close cooperation in an interdisciplinary team and participating in project planning and requirements engineering
- Technical representation towards internal and external partners and customers
- Compliance with a high standard of formal requirements, such as design and test report documentation, change management
Your Profile
- Degree in engineering or natural sciences, for example with a focus on electronics, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification
- Many years of experience in the field of electronics and software architecture as well as systems engineering of technically complex systems, preferably in a comparable environment
- Experience in leading interdisciplinary development teams
- Sound knowledge of functional safety (SIL level, V-model XT)
- Very good cooperation, presentation, and persuasion skills
- Very good analytical skills and high quality awareness
- Ability to work in a team, initiative, and a high sense of responsibility
- Experience in working with SAP desirable
- Very good German and good English skills
