The following challenges await you:

• As Technology Strategy & Business Development Senior Manager (m/f/d) you are responsible for identifying, evaluating and advancing new technologies and business opportunities that support the strategic growth of Technology and Innovation.
• You lead technology scouting and strategic opportunity assessments to identify emerging technologies, AI-driven innovations, external partnerships and potential acquisition targets.
• In addition, you monitor market, technology and competitive trends and assess market attractiveness, technology maturity, scalability and strategic fit.
• You lead the strategic and commercial evaluation of acquisitions, licensing opportunities and strategic partnerships and prepare well-founded recommendations for decision-makers.
• Moreover, you develop business cases, financial models, market entry strategies and growth concepts for new technologies and business opportunities, including investment analyses based on methods such as NPV, ROI and DCF.
• You drive cross-functional growth initiatives and promote AI-enabled ways of working across Technology and Innovation functions.
• Furthermore, you collaborate closely with Technology, Innovation, Product Management, Finance, Sales and Corporate Strategy to align growth initiatives with business objectives and create transparency on strategic priorities.
• You engage with start-ups, venture capital firms, technology providers, universities, research institutes and customers to identify innovation opportunities and develop strategic partnerships.
• Beyond this, you evaluate disruptive technologies and emerging business models in a rapidly changing market environment and manage several strategic initiatives independently, even where information is incomplete or ambiguous.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Technology Management or a related field
• Typically, ten years of relevant professional experience in Business Development, Strategy, Technology Management, Innovation Management, Corporate Development, Venture Building or M&A
• Proven experience in evaluating technologies, growth opportunities, strategic partnerships and investment cases
• Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen, combined with advanced analytical and financial modelling skills
• Experience in technology assessment, market analysis and innovation management
• Strong understanding of technology commercialization, strategic growth management and innovation processes
• Knowledge of M&A processes, strategic partnerships and venture ecosystem dynamics
• Practical experience with AI-enabled tools, digital collaboration platforms and knowledge management approaches
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously
• Fluent business English skills, both written and spoken
