The Visual Arts branch of the EDHEA is offering the following position:
HES Teaching Master for the branch
Contemporary Art History
The position requires advanced knowledge in the fields of contemporary arts, cultural and socio-political studies. It mainly involves teaching (Bachelor and Master levels) as well as supervising (theoretical and practical) student project work. The successful candidate will be expected to develop research within the institute. This role reports to the head of the Visual Arts branch.
Your mission
- You provide teaching at Bachelor and Master levels in contemporary art history
- You participate in juries and admissions for the Bachelor and Master programmes
- You contribute to pedagogical reflections on the Bachelor and Master programmes
Your profile
- You hold a university degree at Master level in Art History at minimum or an equivalent qualification. A doctorate would be an asset
- You have excellent knowledge of contemporary art, sound practices and contemporary reflections
- You demonstrate didactic and pedagogical experience
- You have experience in institutional HES or university research
- You are a native French speaker with proficiency in English. German and Italian would be an asset
- You are able to work transdisciplinarily, in a team and autonomously
- You have excellent writing skills and a strong research potential supported by publications
Work rate 30% (excluding research mandates)
