In this context, we are looking for a Scientific Librarian.

An essential support for the teaching and research missions of the Haute Ecole de Santé - Vaud, the HESAV library actively participates in the development of the skills of students and faculty at HESAV.

It also provides all the necessary documentation (physical and electronic).

At the start of the academic year in September, HESAV will take on the challenge of moving into the premises of the new Health Campus.

For the library, this is a great opportunity for development.

MAIN MISSIONSYou participate in library projects as well as its promotion and development, contributing to its evolution and its influence.

You support the academic mission of Teaching and Research by accompanying HESAV students in their learning processes, by participating in the research projects of the Teaching and Research Staff (PER), and by collaborating in the implementation of a research data management service.

Furthermore, you actively contribute to the development of the skills of the HESAV community by designing and delivering training within the framework of the various programs offered as well as workshops.

You also provide the necessary support for the acquisition of these skills.

You participate in the management and development of physical and electronic collections (documentary policy, documentary processing, and promotion of collections).

You also provide shifts at the reception desk (loans and information) and guide the various audiences according to their needs and requests.

PROFILE SOUGHTYou hold a Master's degree in Information Science or a title deemed equivalent, or a Bachelor's degree in Information Science with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an academic library.

Your ability to adapt to technological developments and your intellectual curiosity complement your solid analytical and synthesis skills.

You know how to organize and prioritize effectively and demonstrate initiative when appropriate.

Rigorous and methodical, you are also a driving force for proposals.

You master bibliographic databases, Zotero and Endnote, the Alma software (loans, acquisitions, and cataloging), and standard office tools (Office 365).

A good knowledge of written English is required and a good knowledge of German would be an asset.
