Hexagon Robotics
is a division of Hexagon – a global leader in precision measurement. Established in 2025, Hexagon Robotics develops humanoid robots for industrial sectors to address labor shortages and enable the transition from automation to autonomy. The first humanoid product, AEON, was launched in June 2025 and combines agility, awareness, spatial intelligence and versatility to provide a market‑leading solution for automotive, transportation, aerospace, manufacturing, and logistics customers. We are looking for a
Lead Technical Project Manager
who has grown up as an engineer, thrives at the intersection of deep technical complexity and cross‑functional leadership, and can drive the Systems roadmap from concept to production. The Systems Group is responsible for all on‑board components and core systems of AEON. Our teams span Electronics, Mechanics, Firmware, Embedded Linux, and Systems Engineering – covering the full hardware and software stack that brings the robot to life. Your Mission:
Own the Systems roadmap in alignment with product management: define high‑level milestones, timelines and resource allocation strategies in collaboration with senior leadership. Identify cross‑team dependencies, and balance short‑term deliveries against long‑term capability building. Drive end‑to‑end features spanning multiple disciplines from concept through validation. Engage with external suppliers to integrate and validate new technologies. Establish state‑of‑the‑art engineering practices, optimize flow and remove impediments. Translate strategic direction into executable plans and ensure the Systems Group delivers in alignment with company‑wide priorities. Ensure adherence to applicable product laws and regulatory requirements in close alignment with the compliance team. Your Skillset:
BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or a related field, with at least 5 years of hands‑on engineering experience in one or more of the Systems disciplines: electronics, mechanics, firmware, embedded Linux, or systems engineering. Proven track record in technical project management within hardware‑heavy, multi‑disciplinary environments – taking real‑world products from idea to delivery while navigating regulatory requirements. Solid understanding of high‑level system architecture across complex hardware/software systems, with the ability to assess technical complexity, dependencies, and effort at initiative level. Strong communication skills – able to translate between engineering depth and management clarity. Proficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) – including structuring projects across teams, defining and tracking cross‑team dependencies, and maintaining a single source of truth for planning and documentation. Proficiency in English required; German is advantageous. What You’ll Get:
Flexible working hours and a hybrid model for real work‑life balance. CHF 500 mobility credit for sustainable commuting. Bonus system & strong pension contributions. Tailored training & development opportunities. Relocation support for a smooth start. Discounts on health, mobility & entertainment. Team events and a flat hierarchy where your voice counts. A warm, international culture built on respect and collaboration.
