Head of Software & Embedded Development (m/f/d) in Freital

Your new responsibilities:

• You will lead an interdisciplinary team of ten employees and support your team both technically and managerially in the successful implementation of challenging software projects
• As the central point of contact for software-related issues, you will work closely with departments such as Development, Support, and Operations to ensure smooth communication
• You’ll be responsible for planning releases and features, setting priorities, coordinating sprint and team meetings, and ensuring the quality of the developed solutions.
• You’ll hold product ownership for our software solutions in both the backend and frontend environments, always keeping requirements, benefits, and further development in mind.
• You’ll guide internal development projects from concept to successful implementation and contribute your project management expertise in a targeted manner
• In addition, you’ll provide second-level support to our customers regarding system integration issues and be responsible for the ongoing development of software-related product documentation

What we’re looking for:

• You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a comparable qualification
• You have several years of professional experience in software development, complemented by initial or already extensive leadership experience
• You are thoroughly familiar with software architectures, development processes, and modern software development methods
• You are comfortable working in Linux and Windows environments and have solid programming skills, for example in Python, C++, or comparable technologies
  With your structured approach to work, you are able to prioritize tasks, coordinate teams, and bring projects to a successful conclusion
• You communicate confidently in German and English and impress others with your self-assured demeanor and strong team orientation
• Ideally, you also have knowledge of IT infrastructures, have already gained experience with agile work methods and frameworks, and would like to actively help shape the strategic development and future direction of our software organization
