We are looking for a talented and experienced Firmware Engineer / Embedded Software Developer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, verification and validation of firmware and embedded software for our next generation of safety-related control systems. You will work closely with hardware engineers and other team members to develop efficient, reliable and high-performance embedded systems.
Tasks:
- Independent development of complex firmware solutions
- Architecture and design of firmware systems
- Optimisation of software quality, testability and maintainability
- Mentoring of junior developers
- Technical leadership in projects
- Collaboration with hardware engineers and product owners
YOUR PROFILE
- At least 5 years of professional experience in firmware development
- Sound knowledge of C/C++
- Extensive experience with various microcontroller architectures
- In-depth understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Experience in functional safety or cybersecurity
- Experience with low-power design and optimisation techniques
- Good knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Fluent English skills are a must have
- Good knowledge of German is nice to have
