TITLE: Automation Engineer
LOCATION: Canton of Jura, Switzerland
SALARY: Up to CHF 100’000 – 120’000 based on experience
COMPANY: Producer of furnaces and heat treatment machinery for the metal manufacturing industry. The machines are produced in the canton of Jura and are exported all over Europe.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the machine design process alongside the technical management team
- Project cost estimation
- Develop programs and related user manuals
- Commission machines in collaboration with other departments
- Install and restart machines on-site, as well as train customers
- Provide customer support, both remotely and on-site if necessary
- Stay up to date with technological advancements and market trends
YOUR PROFILE
- Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal and WINCC
- Experience in the industrial sector, particularly in electricity
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Strong industrial background
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent English
NICE TO HAVE:
- Knowledge of Beckhoff PLCs
- Experience with SCADA Citect (Schneider Electric)
- German preferred (or another language such as Italian or Spanish)
