50Hertz advances the integration of renewable energy and supports grid expansion by providing IT infrastructure and networks. Its international IT infrastructure team operates and develops highly available on-premise compute platforms.

Задачи:

• Design, standardize, and strategically develop compute platforms, including virtualization, x86 server infrastructure, and management systems, in line with architecture, security, compliance, and technology roadmap requirements
• Assess, review, and audit technical solutions, and identify improvements to performance, availability, scalability, security, and automation
• Advise and share knowledge across the IT organization on architecture, automation, and operating standards
• Develop the GitOps- and Infrastructure-as-Code-based operating platform, automation solutions, and self-service solutions using Ansible, PowerCLI, Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs
• Implement, administer, and develop compute infrastructure across zones, ensuring secure, stable, and highly available platform operations
• Plan, conduct, and document disaster recovery and business continuity measures
• Conduct capacity, performance, and availability analyses
• Analyze and resolve complex incidents sustainably, and participate in incident, problem, and change management, including 3rd-level support and 24/7 on-call duty

Требования:

• Completed degree or vocational training in business informatics, computer science, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience designing, operating, and developing compute, virtualization, and infrastructure platforms, with strong knowledge of IT architecture and platform design
• Extensive experience with VMware environments, x86 server hardware, and compute platform performance, capacity, and lifecycle management
• In-depth understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, and modern automation concepts, with practical experience using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, PowerCLI, and REST APIs
• Knowledge of backup, restore, disaster recovery, security, compliance, and governance requirements
• Independent and proactive working style
• Very good German (C1) and good English (B2)
