The successful candidate will combine strong lab automation and digital laboratory expertise with the communication, influencing, and project leadership skills required to translate laboratory needs into scalable technical solutions and drive successful implementation. /p h3Responsibilities: /h3 h3Digital Laboratory Transformation /h3 ul lipHelp define requirements for network architecture segmentation, LIMS/SDMS/ELN, Scientific Layer, AI/ML use cases, and systems integration framework requirements. /p /li lipReview vendor-partner produced design architecture, interface documents, functional specifications, configurations. /p /li lipServe as External SME and Primary Point of Contact for the customer across the vendor-partner landscape. /p /li lipAssess the current laboratory business processes, technology, automation and systems landscape. /p /li lipMap laboratory workflows, systems and data flows. /p /li lipIdentify gaps, manual interfaces and opportunities for integration. /p /li lipIdentify and prioritise opportunities based on business value, technical feasibility and customer needs. /p /li lipDrive implementation of agreed digital and automation initiatives. /p /li /ul h3Automation Technology Integration /h3 ul lipWork across laboratory automation, instruments and digital systems. /p /li lipUnderstand how automation platforms and laboratory systems interact. /p /li lipIdentify opportunities to integrate instruments, automation, LIMS and other laboratory systems. /p /li lipTranslate laboratory requirements into clear technical requirements. /p /li lipWork closely with automation engineers and technical specialists. /p /li lipEnsure solutions are scalable and aligned with the customer's existing technology environment. /p /li /ul h3Vendor Management /h3 ul lipAct as the primary interface between the customer and the implementation vendor-partners. /p /li lipManage the vendor's delivery against agreed scope, milestones, quality and timelines. /p /li lipProvide clear direction and priorities to the offshore team. /p /li lipCoordinate activities across different time zones and teams. /p /li lipReview technical architecture, design deliverables and ensure they meet customer expectations. /p /li lipChallenge and manage vendor performance where required. /p /li lipEscalate issues appropriately and drive resolution. /p /li lipEnsure effective communication between the customer, vendor and wider project team /p /li /ul h3Documentation, Commissioning Qualification (CQ) /h3 ul lipHelp maintain and update project documents including URS, User Stories, Functional Specifications, lab digitalization strategy documents. /p /li lipHelp define CQ plan, coordinate FAT/SAT expectations, write integrated test plans as needed. /p /li lipCreate and maintain requirements traceability matrix, design review outputs. /p /li lipReview vendor-partner produced Test Plans and Test Protocols. /p /li lipPrimary Point of Contact with vendor-partner for FAT/SAT. /p /li /ul h3Skills and Experience: /h3 ul lipBachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related technical discipline. /p /li lip7+ years of relevant experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated laboratory environments, including significant experience with laboratory automation and digital laboratory transformation. /p /li lipDemonstrated hands‑on experience with laboratory systems and instrument integration, including LIMS, ELN, SDMS, scientific instruments, automation platforms, and associated data flows/interfaces. /p /li lipStrong LabWare LIMS experience is required, including proven involvement in the design, configuration, integration, implementation, and/or validation of LabWare solutions. /p /li lipStrong understanding of laboratory workflows and processes across analytical, development, QC, testing, or RD laboratory environments. /p /li lipExperience defining or reviewing technical architecture, system interfaces, integration requirements, functional specifications, and data flows for laboratory environments. /p /li lipWorking knowledge of GxP-regulated environments, GAMP 5, computerized system validation (CSV/CSA), data integrity, and 21 CFR Part 11 / EU Annex 11 expectations. /p /li lipExperience developing and reviewing URS, functional/design specifications, requirements traceability, FAT/SAT protocols, test plans, and qualification/validation documentation. /p /li lipProven experience working directly with scientists, laboratory users, IT/OT, automation engineers, Quality/Validation teams, and third‑party technology vendors. /p /li lipPrevious experience leading or coordinating complex, multi‑vendor laboratory automation or digital transformation programs is required. /p /li /ul h3Why Join Catalyx? /h3 pAt Catalyx we understand that our people are our greatest asset.
