Role Title : Network and IT Security Consultant

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 5 years of support experience in Network and IT Security
• Cisco CCNP or similar certifications
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with Cisco Routing, Switching (Catalyst and Nexus), Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA, Firepower
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPS, SDWAN, DMVPN, NAC, and 802.1x deployment
• Experience in Python scripting, Ansible automation, or similar technologies is a plus

Required Education and Training

• Cisco CCNP or similar certifications

Primary Function of Position

• Monitor, manage, troubleshoot, and support network infrastructure tickets globally
• Collaborate with the Sunnyvale team to learn about new technologies, setup, and architecture
• Document operational issues and solutions, and share knowledge with team members
• Support provisioning and de-provisioning of network infrastructure
• Conduct root cause analysis for production outages
• Support Infoblox IPAM provisioning and DNS activities
• Administer Cisco (Routing, Switching, Wireless) and Riverbed infrastructure
• Manage SolarWinds / Orion, Cisco Prime Servers, and support daily operations
• Follow IT access management and change control procedures
• Respond to escalations from Desktop Support and field teams, escalating as needed
• Collaborate with and mentor junior staff to implement IT strategies efficiently
• Stay updated on industry best practices in risk management and incorporate new methods and tools
• Support other security-related technologies such as Network Access Control, Firewalls, Okta SSO, LogicMonitor, and SNMP monitoring
• Perform network and firewall OS patching, monitoring, and alerting
