As part of our dynamic, motivated, and creative team, you will bridge theory and application through experimental research, developing, designing, testing, and validating novel methods and technologies to understand degradation mechanisms and improve the reliability of future power grid assets.**How you'll make an impact*** **You drive impact:** Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects by focusing on the underlying physics of failure, ensuring that reliability enhancements for power grid assets are grounded in a deep understanding of how application stresses translate into real-world failure mechanisms. Design and execute experiments to investigate degradation and failure mechanisms under realistic operating conditions* **You innovate:** Proactively seek out emerging knowledge in failure physics and develop novel experimental approaches to validate scientific hypotheses and improve system reliability, keeping the team at the cutting edge of reliability science and its practical applications* **You take initiative:** Collaborate with a global team of researchers and engineers in Hitachi Energy Research and Hitachi Energy business units.
