Software Engineer for Dependable Systems (F/M/D) – part of the Dependable Systems team for the TAS Platform. The platform is a safety-critical real‑time hard‑ and software platform for the railway domain certified for the highest safety integrity level. The team focuses on the evolution and development of the safe middleware of the TAS Platform and the evaluation of new technologies. Responsibilities and Challenges
Software development with a focus on safety, real-time and security in the railway domain. Design and implementation for distributed systems and related protocols. Analyzing of complex systems. Participating in technical architecture and design workshops. Writing design papers. Development, integration and verification of our technical functions and solutions. Working in distributed teams. Working in an agile team with standardized processes (quality, safety, security). Profile
Completed education (HTL, FH, University) in Informatics, Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience in C; knowledge of C++ is beneficial. Knowledge in embedded real‑time systems used for safety and security related applications. Good knowledge of Linux OS and development environment. Understanding of distributed consensus protocols and virtualized systems. Knowledge of Git. Good communication skills for working in distributed teams. Analytical thinking as a strength. Fluency in English; fluency in German is beneficial. Experience in agile methods. What We Offer
