SCM Engineering Specialist, 80-100 % (f/m/d) | Zurich, Switzerland

pAs an SCM Engineering Specialist, you will act as the key link between Engineering, RD, Supply Chain Management, Category Management, and Suppliers. You will ensure that supply chain considerations are integrated into the product development process, enabling optimized sourcing decisions, cost competitiveness, material availability, and successful product launches. /p pYou will coordinate SCM activities in development projects, translate engineering requirements into sourcing solutions, and contribute to the selection of suppliers, materials, and logistics concepts that support business objectives. /p h3How you’ll make an impact /h3 ul liCoordinate SCM work packages and activities within RD and product development projects. /li liAct as the interface between project teams and SCM stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment. /li liOwn SCM project documentation and ensure timely submission of deliverables for gate approvals. /li liProvide input on costs, lead times, quality, and supply chain risks to support project decision-making. /li liCollaborate with Category Managers and Supplier Quality teams to identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers and sourcing concepts. /li liTranslate engineering requirements into SCM requirements and drive the necessary sourcing activities. /li liSupport the implementation of regional and global sourcing strategies. /li liEnsure SCM readiness for product releases, including knowledge transfer and handover to operational teams. /li liContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, best practice sharing, and SCM process optimization. /li /ul h3Your background /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. /li liSeveral years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Engineering, Category Management, or Project Management. /li liExperience supporting RD, product development, or industrialization projects in a manufacturing environment. /li liStrong understanding of supplier management, sourcing strategies, and cost optimization. /li liAbility to interpret technical requirements and translate them into effective sourcing solutions. /li liExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills. /li liFluent in English; additional languages are an advantage. /li /ul h3More about us /h3 pOur flexible working practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow. /p pWe are a global leader in electrification, powering the electricity era to meet the energy demands of today, and the next 25 years.
