Due to significant business growth, Hitachi Energy are now hiring a CSO Manager Trading ET RM – Europe. Ideally based in the UK in the Greater London region, or Netherlands office in Rotterdam. As both a senior Manager and team player, you will step in and actively support your team in this hands-on senior role. You will head up a team of 10staff locatedinUK/Ireland and Europe. The aim is to build cohesion within the team and invest in their knowledge and expertise so they can achieve their full potential. Hitachi Energy believe you take your whole self to work. As an overview, you will head up a highly experienced team of ETRM Consultants, most with between 5 and 10 years‘ experience. Our functional Consultants (for roles such as ETRM, Forecasting, Market Communications and Settlement) combine business process knowledge with experience in implementing software in the European energy market, with a working knowledge in commodity trading around power, natural gas, renewables, and emissions products in Europe. As we deliver ETRM software projects, our objective is to ensure Hitachi Energy achieves (or improves on) the planned financial return on investment and to grow our market share of opportunity. We have a prestigious portfolio of customers who choose Hitachi as their first preference and we are advancing at a pace.

About the role

• Heading up a highly experienced Team of ETRM Consultants
• You will be actively hands on involved in sales, pre-sales demos estimates, proposals, presentations
• Directly involved in project management including implementations.
• Following Hitachi Energy standards in policy, process, strategy and delivery of our service solutions
• Evaluating customer business needs and translating functional requirements into technology solutions.
• Gaining a good understanding of customers current business processes/flows
• To ensure we can design and configure modules to create high quality tangible business solutions.
• Consulting with senior stakeholders internally and externally and the wider business
• Having an insight into the Hub and global operations

Your background

• Experience managing a team whilst operating as a hand on flexible team player
• Experience with Power, Natural Gas, Renewable Energy and other commodities – a sales and operational focus
• Proven experience building and leading a team whilst operating remotely
• Understanding of trading lifecycle and software development/implementation to support the lifecycle
• Willingness to travel UK/Ireland and overseas
• Flexible to operate across different time zones
