How You’ll Make An Impact
Conduct high‑quality industrial research in the areas of Generative AI and Large Language Models for sustainable power grids, green energy and related fields
Develop innovative software solutions, turn them into prototypes and increase their technology readiness towards productisation
Collaborate with a global and interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers in Hitachi Energy Research and Business Units to identify and solve real‑world problems and realise opportunities for further improvements
Build relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge and expertise. Interact with local and global external partners including universities and vendors
Disseminate your results in technical reports, patent applications, and scientific publications
Your background
PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
Proven expertise in GenAI technologies spanning Large Language Models, reasoning methods, and agentic systems, with strong knowledge of relevant algorithms, frameworks, and tools
Expertise in scalable and high‑performance computing
Good knowledge of the NVIDIA AI/ML SW technology stack
Strong ability and keen interest in applying AI to real‑world industrial applications and business cases related to the energy sector and driving the emerging research in this field toward productisation
Excellent communication skills, team player attitude, initiative, and creativity
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
