Group Tax Director in Zürich

Overview

In this role you lead Kanadevia Inova’s international Group Tax function, shaping strategy, governance, and risk management to support a global, tech-driven waste-to-X business. You will partner with the CFO and senior leaders on major tax decisions, drive a scalable tax operating model across the HQ, SSC, and Group, and guide transformation through data, automation, and digital tools. You’ll manage tax positions, compliance, and audits, while steering cross-border initiatives and M&A. This is a strategic, cross-functional leadership role at a global industrial company.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Define tax strategy, roadmap, operating model and risk framework for the international Group Tax function
• Advise CFO and senior leadership on major tax risks and business decisions
• Build a scalable, well-governed tax operating model across HQ, SSC and Group
• Lead and develop the Group Tax team with clear responsibilities and collaboration
• Oversee tax compliance and reporting across corporate, indirect tax, transfer pricing and Pillar Two
• Manage material tax positions, audits, tax controversy, and relationships with authorities, auditors and advisers
• Provide strategic tax leadership on EPC projects, contracts, financing, M&A, post-merger integrations and cross-border restructuring
• Drive tax transformation through governance, controls, KPIs, technology, data, automation, digitalisation and IFS/OneERP

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Degree in Tax, Law, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; recognised qualification preferred
• Typically 15+ years of senior international tax experience in a complex multinational
• Leadership in a Group Tax function with governance and operating model design
• Strong expertise in international and Swiss corporate tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, tax reporting and Pillar Two
• Experience with M&A, tax controversy and complex cross-border activities
• Background in engineering, construction, manufacturing, energy or project-based environment is preferred
• Strategic, pragmatic leader with strong technical judgement and experience advising senior executives
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; fluent English; German advantageous
