Layout Engineer in Zürich

Overview

In this role you will act as the Plant Integrator for a defined portion of the facility, ensuring smooth interactions between disciplines during layout and design. You will develop layouts for equipment, piping, ducts, and structures, and maintain planning documents while ensuring compliance with internal standards and codes. You will engage with the project team and third parties to coordinate planning issues. This position offers the chance to contribute to cutting-edge waste-to-X projects within an international team and influence how waste becomes value.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Act as integrator to optimize interaction between disciplines (layout, piping, structures, foundations, ducts)
• Create system layouts including equipment, piping, ducts, and steel structures with supporting concepts
• Prepare and update planning documents (layout plans, load tables, EoD)
• Ensure scope compliance with internal instructions, standards, process requirements, and codes (EN/ASME)
• Engage with project team and third parties in planning meetings

• 5+ years in plant/layout design (EfW, WtX/PtX, RG, power, oil & gas, industrial)
• Fluent in English; German or French a plus
• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or Master in Industrial Engineering
• Autonomous, solution-driven, persuasive personality
• Strong communication and coordination skills
