Overview
In this role you lead the civil engineering scope for Waste-to-X projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary design and interfaces across a civil consortium or EPC package. You guide design activities in procurement and execution, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and regulatory requirements. You will support procurement, contractor negotiations, and progress reporting, with travel up to 10%. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead the civil engineering scope for Waste-to-X projects within a consortium or EPC civil works package
- Coordinate civil design interfaces with partners, subcontractors, internal teams, clients, and authorities
- Manage design activities during procurement and execution for civil, structural, geotechnical, architectural, and infrastructure packages
- Ensure collaboration between civil disciplines and project stakeholders across design and construction
- Support preparation of civil procurement packages including technical and commercial requirements
- Assist in contractor negotiations and respond to technical queries during procurement and project execution
- Report project progress to management and operations, supporting claim management
- Travel up to 10% for project coordination and execution
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years in EPC, construction, or large industrial projects as a Design Engineer
- Experience delivering projects in Hungary and/or the Central and Eastern European region with knowledge of local regulations and permitting
- PM capabilities; PM certifications are an advantage
- Strong knowledge of international civil engineering design and construction codes and standards
- Experience with structural design software and 3D BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks
- Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills
- Assertive and decisive, with experience in remote and multicultural teams
- Fluent in Hungarian and English; additional European languages are an advantage
