Overview
In this role you will drive the execution of waste handling packages within an engineering team that turns waste into valuable energy and byproducts. You will coordinate engineering concepts, procure equipment, and manage suppliers to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets. The position blends cross-functional collaboration with hands-on problem solving during installation, commissioning, and operation. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Coordinate and deliver Concept and Basic Engineering across interfaces
- Prepare technical specifications for waste reception, storage, feeding systems, and related equipment
- Select suppliers, evaluate offers, and place purchase orders
- Expedite in detailed engineering, manage documentation and FATs
- Collaborate with procurement, civil, electrical, and process teams
- Clarify interfaces across disciplines and plant lots
- Assist installation/commissioning, troubleshoot during project execution and operation, and support knowledge transfer
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Strong process and product knowledge in Waste Handling systems
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial plant engineering
- Experience with crane systems (waste cranes, bottom ash cranes, bulk material handling)
- Background in Energy from Waste, power generation, or heavy industry advantageous
- Experience in supplier management and procurement of complex systems
- Experience in project execution and multidisciplinary project teams
- Fluent English; German is an advantage; willingness to travel internationally
