Overview In this role you will advance system-level reliability modelling and lifecycle optimization for power grid components and large-scale infrastructures. You’ll collaborate with a global, interdisciplinary team to translate RAMS methods into interdependent, system-of-systems decisions. You will contribute to data-driven decision support and reliability twin concepts that impact power systems over decades. This is a hands-on, research-led position at the intersection of technology, science and industrial challenges, with opportunities to publish and influence practice. Verantwortungsbereiche Drive system-level RAMS modelling innovations, linking single-asset physics to system behavior Develop data-driven decision support and reliability twin concepts for long-term GW-scale grids Collaborate across research, engineering and external partners to shape industrial solutions Disseminate results through scientific publications, patents, and technical reports Engage in cross-functional knowledge sharing and external collaboration to advance projects Zentrale Anforderungen PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Reliability Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field Strong expertise in RAMS, RBD, FTA, Monte Carlo, and stochastic modelling Experience with complex high-reliability systems (energy, aerospace, automotive) and lifecycle optimization Familiarity with maintenance strategies; knowledge of power grid technologies is a plus Proven track record at top scientific conferences and journals Excellent English communication and collaborative mindset team player attitude initiative creativity RAMS modelling RBD FTA
