Overview
In this role you will lead a global supplier quality operation to ensure sustainable, compliant materials and services. You will build and mentor a ~10-person SQE team and partner with SCM, R&D, and engineering to qualify suppliers and resolve quality issues. You will drive standardized supplier management, quality training, and KPI reporting, shaping a robust, global supply base. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership position with travel across Europe.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop standardized supply base management and quality training materials for local deployment
- Deploy and monitor the supplier qualification process to keep active suppliers fully qualified and compliant
- Provide transparent quality and compliance updates to SCM leadership
- Ensure corporate quality processes are understood and implemented across the organization
- Represent the Voice of the Supplier to balance internal needs with supplier perspectives for long-term sustainability
- Coordinate with R&D, Engineering, PM, and SCM to ensure timely input for critical product qualifications (APQP, PPAP, FAI, FAT)
- Support SQEs in planning and executing product qualifications, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams
- Oversee prompt resolution of supplier NCs and drive robust process improvements
- Co-define supplier quality KPIs with global SCM and align reporting with SCM strategy
- Define targeted supplier site inspections based on risk and integrate into QCPs or ITPs
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 7+ years in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, or Operations with 3+ years in a leadership role in a matrixed organization
- Certified Lead Auditor (ISO9001 or similar)
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Expert use of 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC for supplier quality issues
- Mastery of APQP/PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC
- Ability to lead and mentor geographically dispersed SQEs across time zones
- Excellent communication skills for senior leadership reporting and stakeholder engagement
- Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, project quality, and category management teams
