Overview
As Project Lead Engineer in Hitachi Energy’s GIS unit, you drive end-to-end GIS projects from planning to delivery. You’ll coordinate technical design, procurement, and stakeholder interactions to meet quality, cost, and schedule targets. You will lead cross-functional collaboration across R&D, production, and suppliers to optimize processes and deliver reliable switchgear systems. This role offers a chance to shape complex high-voltage projects within a global, innovation-driven environment. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop and manage technical project plans aligned with customer requirements and internal processes
- Prepare and review engineering documents (specifications, drawings, assembly instructions, material lists)
- Serve as primary technical contact for customers, internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Define materials, oversee procurement, and ensure correct fabrication/assembly configurations
- Track costs and timelines, implement corrective actions
- Identify technical issues and drive quality improvements and process optimization
- Provide on-site technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (field unspecified in detail)
- 5+ years in project engineering, preferably GIS or high-voltage equipment
- Proficiency with CAD software (Creo, AutoCAD)
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Cross-functional collaboration across R&D, production, procurement, and QA
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Fluent in English; German knowledge is a plus
