(Junior) Sustainability Specialist (m/w/d)

As a (Junior) Sustainability Specialist, you support the further development of Corporate Sustainability Management at Hochland. You contribute to strategic sustainability initiatives, ESG reporting, carbon accounting, and sustainable supply chain programs. By implementing regulatory requirements and sustainability targets, you help drive Hochland’s transformation. Working closely with different departments, international sites, and external partners, you gain broad insights into the sustainable future of an international dairy company.

Your responsibilities:

• You analyze ESG risks, market trends, and customer requirements, deriving impulses for the sustainability strategy.
• Legal sustainability requirements such as CSRD and EU taxonomy are monitored, assessed, and clearly prepared for internal teams.
• You actively support the development and implementation of uniform standards as well as sustainable concepts, programs, and guidelines within the company – especially along the supply chain and for milk production.
• Contribution to the preparation of the Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) and sustainability reports, as well as promoting internal knowledge sharing and sustainability communication through trainings, is part of your role.
• Complex sustainability topics and data are prepared by you in a target group-oriented manner and clearly visualized for different audiences.

Your recipe for success:

• Vocational training in the field of dairy industry, agriculture, energy management or a comparable field, or a similar degree.
• Initial professional experience in sustainability, data management, or a related area.
• Genuine interest in working with numbers, analyses, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Confident use of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); interest in digital tools and modern solutions such as AI or automation.
• Clear and open communicator in English to drive projects in an international environment.
