Somatex, a Hologic company, is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our amazing team in Berlin, Germany.
As the Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing of products produced externally. You will develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
- Performs complex experiments that may require support and coordination of other engineers or technicians.
- Active participant in R&D projects, providing design input and ensuring projects can be translated into cost-effective production. Supports R&D in marking cost estimated for equipment, tools, and components.
- Oversee the creation and revision of standard operation procedures, organizational standards, directives pertaining to scheduling, cost control and production performance evaluation. Develop, verifies, and validates processes for manufacturing.
This role would suit experienced professionals from the following:
- Advanced ability to read, interpret and create drawings.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing, quality improvement and cost reduction methodologies such as Continuous Improvement Methodologies, Lean, Root Cause and Root Cause Failure Analysis, TQM, SPC, Six Sigma
- Ability to develop and lead corrective action plans.
- Ability to work with external and/or remotely located stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical related subject is highly desirable.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Automation experience, such as implementation of an automated cell/line
