Project Manager – Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager with an ILS background to join a growing team supporting complex defence programmes within a high-reliability technical environment.

This is a project-focused role with responsibility for coordinating ILS activities across the programme, working closely with engineering, programme management, logistics teams and defence customers to ensure support requirements are effectively planned, integrated and delivered.

You’ll act as the key ILS interface within the project, bringing together multiple logistics disciplines and ensuring ILS requirements are incorporated throughout the programme lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate ILS activities across complex defence programmes.
• Act as the key ILS interface between project management, engineering, logistics teams and customers.
• Coordinate activities across Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), reliability and availability, configuration, obsolescence and technical documentation.
• Ensure logistics and support requirements are effectively integrated into engineering and project activities.
• Coordinate ILS resources, priorities and deliverables across the project.
• Support the management of incident and fault reporting processes.
• Provide specialist ILS advice to project and programme management teams.
• Work closely with defence customers and internal stakeholders to ensure ILS requirements are understood and delivered.
• Monitor progress, risks, resources and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven Project Management experience within a technical or defence environment, ideally with an ILS focus.
• Strong practical knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support and Life Cycle Management.
• Experience coordinating multiple ILS/logistics disciplines within complex technical projects.
• Experience working on defence programmes, military systems or other high-reliability technical projects.
• Strong understanding of areas such as LSA, reliability and availability, configuration management and obsolescence.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across engineering, programme management, logistics and customer-facing teams.
• A structured and proactive approach to project delivery.
• Very good German and good English language skills.
• A recognised project management qualification would be advantageous.
