About our client
A growing infrastructure and construction business is hiring a purchasing and logistics assistant to support its operational teams. You will handle day-to-day buying, supplier negotiations and logistical arrangements for crews working on site, in a practical, fast-paced setting. This is an urgent hire, with an immediate start preferred.
Responsibilities
- Arrange and negotiate accommodation and other logistical needs for field crews
- Purchase materials for construction projects, such as road-building and groundwork supplies
- Obtain quotes, agree terms and manage deliveries with local suppliers
- Source equipment and other operational requirements as needed
- Follow up on orders, resolve delays and keep purchasing records tidy
- Act as a point of contact between site teams and the wider organisation
Requirements
- Early-career background in purchasing, procurement, logistics or operations coordination
- Confident negotiator who is organised and used to juggling multiple priorities
- Practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to take ownership of routine tasks
- Professional-level command of German, English and Spanish
