Job Description Your missionUnder the responsibility of the Finance Director, you ensure the operational, human, and strategic management of the accounting department.You are responsible for the quality, compliance, and reliability of accounting data and actively participate in the transformation of the financial processes of Hospice général.With an optimisation focus, you will guarantee a clear and shared vision.Your main activitiesLead, organise, and supervise the accounting department (25 people) ensuring a collaborative work environment and skills development.Ensure the production of annual accounts according to current standards (IPSAS accounting standards).Oversee all accounting operations: general accounting, suppliers, debtors, user services, fixed assets, treasury.Organise financial processes in line with the institution's strategy, objectives, and legal framework (general accounting standards, cantonal laws and regulations).Manage projects related to the evolution of the accounting scope (standards, procedures, tools) and coordinate with transversal stakeholders.Actively participate in the transformation of the finance directorate and process optimisation.Collaborate closely with other departments of the finance directorate (management control, purchasing, etc.).Ensure the smooth running of the annual accounts audit, in collaboration with external auditors.Be a key contact for internal and external control bodies, the Department of Social Cohesion, and the State Finance Directorate.Participate in transversal projects as a representative of the finance directorate. Qualifications Education & experienceAdvanced diploma in accounting/finance (such as chartered accountant, federal diploma or equivalent university degree).Proven experience in a similar role with management of sizeable teams.Good knowledge of IPSAS accounting standards (or IFRS).Experience in a public or non-profit environment is an asset.Skills & personal qualitiesLeadership, listening skills, and ability to develop teams.Analytical mind, rigour, results orientation.Ability to take initiative.Ease in managing change and leading transformation or regulatory projects.Excellent communication skills, clarity, and pedagogy.Proficiency in accounting and reporting software tools. Knowledge of Oracle ERP is an asset.
