Salary and Benefits: 120,000 – 140,000 EUR base + bonus, hybrid working and competitive benefits package.

Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking a a fully qualified lawyer with a strong foundation in commercial law and a proactive mindset to join our Legal Department. In this role, you’ll not only take on the critical responsibilities of the Data Protection Officer, but also serve as a strategic legal advisor across departments. You’ll be the go-to expert on data privacy matters – guiding teams, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and shaping the data protection framework.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and negotiating contracts, advising on complex legal challenges, your insights will directly impact our approach to IT, outsourcing, and regulatory topics like DORA and IT security.
• Collaborate with specialist departments and procurement, navigating regulatory requirements and supporting with contract negotiations, your legal expertise will be a trusted asset throughout the organization.
• Stay informed about evolving legislation, guide its integration into internal procedures, and play an active role in influencing the development of data protection law.

The ideal Candidate would have:

• 4+ years of relevant experience in Data Protection and Commercial Law.
• Exposure to Financial Services Sector.
