Tasks

  • Implementation of the strategic product roadmap into firmware development planning for our cordless tools and controllers
  • Contributing your own ideas and incorporating best practices and new technologies into development projects
  • Resource and budget planning as well as reporting to the CTO and management
  • Development and establishment of a software development process, including test planning and revision management
  • Management of the entire product life cycle, from brainstorming to planning, design, development (coding), testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Interface coordination with hardware development, sales, after-sales, manufacturing, and external partners
  • Leading and motivating a team of software developers
  • Coaching, mentoring, and professional and personal development of team members
  • Planning and selecting the use of AI tools for code analysis, test automation, and documentation

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in embedded C/C++ development
  • Completed university degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field of study
  • Very good knowledge of C/C++, experience with RTOS, Git, and ideally Python
  • Ideally, experience in project management with Jira
  • Confident use of agile development methods (Scrum/Kanban), requirements engineering, and test and verification planning
  • Proven experience in team and project management as well as strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Experience in implementing and establishing efficient collaboration within software development teams (e.g., using agile methods)
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Goal-oriented, proactive, and analytical approach to work with a high level of quality and safety awareness, as well as strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong hands-on mentality
  • Open, collegial personality with the ability to confidently manage multiple issues simultaneously, even in challenging situations
