The position Head of CTO Germany(m/f/d) is available immediately at our location in Germany.
Description of Role/Position
The Head of CTO Germany is responsible for leading the CTO function which supports HSBC Germany, as well as contributing to CTO effort across Europe and Group CTO. Working closely with senior stakeholders in the market to ensure that CTO solutions are aligned with the bank's overall strategy, and that the market’s CTO needs are met. This will require an understanding and close interaction with regulators along with business and IT stakeholders. The CTO Lead will be responsible for the effective daily operations of CTO solutions for HSBC Germany including,Connectivity, Colleague and Collaboration, Data Center Management and Enterprise Infrastructure. The CTO Lead will also be accountable for colleagues who provide pan-European capabilities like IT Service Management and Cloud Foundatins. The person in this role will be commercially astute, often delivering via vendors and key managed services partners.
TASKS
- Leadership: Lead and manage a team of subordinate managers and technology professionals in both Germany and Poland.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with a range of business and technology stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure in country technology solutions comply with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and managed services providers, ensuring that they deliver high-quality solutions and services that meet the bank's needs.
- People Management: Develop and manage the team of technology managers & professionals, ensuring that they are engaged, motivated, and equipped with the necessary skills and resources to deliver.
- Governance and Committee Memberships: Participate in a range of forums including RCMM, CTO Extended Leadership, Market specific leadership meetings.
- Delivery focused on a reliable and resilient day-to-day operation, ensuring RTB and CTB activities are delivered efficiently and on time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Broad Management expertise, incl. responsibility for multiple teams, through subordinate managers, with accountability for independent budgets
- Wide and comprehensive understanding of technical CTO concepts and principles within multiple disciplines or a fast-changing discipline
- Covers a wide range of diverse activities that require complex judgements and solutions based on conceptual thought and strategic vision and analysis.
- Is proactive in developing ideas, continuously searching for improvements in techniques which add value to the business and has full responsibility for implementation.
- Latitude to make decisions within the objectives of HSBC global business / global function overall. Little guidance is available and role holder is expected to formulate strategy following the objectives of the business.
- Sets strategy for value for unit / region / product / legal entity.
- The role holder must possess a high level of sensitivity to the audience, be able to modify the beliefs and opinions of others and negotiate with significant latitude for the final outcome.
- Very good German and English skills.
OUR BENEFITS The pay range for this role is 120.000,00-- € - 140.000,00-- €
- The final compensation structure depends on your qualifications and the resulting contractual grading: Tariff grading: The compensation is governed by the collective agreement for the private banking sector (Tarifvertrag für das private Bankgewerbe).
