Overview

Huawei\’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Network Energy Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning. The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within the Huawei\’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Senior Engineer: Thermal Simulation and Design – Leased Labor (12-18 months) (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Responsible for simulation and related design & optimization of low, medium and high voltage power conversion system
• Participate in project characterization of power conversion and interface materials and structures
• Support and consult ORC and HQ system application teams in terms of simulations
• Participate in generation of relevant IP and documentation via invention disclosures
• Market and academia screening in related technical field for cross referencing (documentation via technical insights reports)

Your areas of expertise

• Master of Science in mechanical or material or electrical engineering
• Solid experience in simulation
• Experience in mechanical and/or layout designing
• Strong skills in relevant simulation software (e.g. Ansys, COMSOL Multiphysics, Icepak, ..)
• Skills in relevant 3D design software (e.g. Inventor, Solidworks, …)
• Fluent in written and spoken English (working language)
• Good communication skills and multicultural environment adaptability.
