Overview
As Principal Engineer in Munich, you will advance microwave photonics hardware for 224G test and measurement instruments. You will own circuit design, simulation, and debugging of RF/microwave blocks and integrate with analog front-ends. You’ll drive component selection, schematic/PCB design, and lab measurement to optimize complete microwave systems. You will collaborate across teams, document designs, and stay at the forefront of RF/optical instrumentation and tech trends.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop next-generation microwave photonics hardware for 224G test/instrumentation
- Design, simulate, and debug low phase-noise oscillators, frequency sources, and synthesizers
- Design and optimize RF/microwave blocks and integrated assemblies
- Perform schematic and PCB design; select key components
- Conduct lab measurements, debugging, and optimization of RF modules and full systems
- Document design proposals, test reports, and technical analyses
- Coordinate cross-functional/internal/external teams and track technology trends
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in low phase-noise oscillators, frequency sources, and synthesizers
- Solid understanding of laser, opto-electro modulator, PD, EDFA and TIA
- Lab experience with RF/optical instruments (VNA, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, RF/optical power meter)
- Familiar with measurement of P1dB, IP3, harmonics, insertion loss, SFDR, phase noise, noise figure, EVM, jitter
- Experience with RF/microwave components, blocks, subsystems, or systems
- Proficiency in EM simulation tools
