The positions offered are attached to the Diagnostic Department. The objectives of this department (comprising 9 medical services) are to provide diagnoses, therapeutic products, therapeutic procedures, and specialised clinical consultations of high medical quality, within the shortest possible time and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions. It develops a clear vision: to unite and be a centre of excellence in medico-technical disciplines for the benefit of patient care.
The mission of the eHealth and telemedicine service is to promote the expertise, excellence, and dynamism of the HUG beyond the usual geographical and institutional boundaries, thanks to information and communication technologies.
The position works in close collaboration with the CARA association, which develops the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) in the French-speaking Swiss region and coordinates the shared medication plan project.
IT Analyst or Programmer Analyst - PMP - 100%
The eHealth and telemedicine service co-develops innovative digital solutions (web and mobile applications) to improve the practice of professionals and the experience of patients.
You will join the development team for the shared medication plan, a complementary tool to the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) that allows management of a patient’s medication.
Thanks to your expertise, you will participate in the development of the core of the shared medication plan, a back-end component responsible for all business logic related to eMedication. You contribute to product-quality standards. You work closely with the team to develop reliable and scalable solutions and features. You share best practices and adopt a critical and constructive approach with a view to continuous improvement.
You ensure the updating and writing of the necessary documentation. You make use of your summarising ability and pragmatism to carry out your mission within the allotted time and guarantee a quality result.
You also provide level 3 user support for partners with a customer-oriented perspective. You rely on your summarising ability and pragmatism to move forward and carry out your activities within the deadlines.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent diploma, as well as five years of successful experience in a development role. Experience in hospital information systems and/or medication management is highly valued.
You master Java/J2EE (21+) technologies with the Spring Framework, particularly Spring Boot, as well as REST service development. Knowledge of SOAP web service development with Apache Camel is highly valued. Knowledge of Spring Security, as well as OAuth2, JPA/Hibernate and SQL (notably PostgreSQL) is an asset.
You have performed unit and integration testing using Junit5 and Mockito testing tools.
You regularly use collaboration tools such as GitHub/GitLab/BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence, etc., as well as build tools like Maven and containerisation tools such as Docker or Podman. Furthermore, a thorough knowledge of agile methods (Scrum) is a plus.
Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and experience in managing GNU/Linux systems are also appreciated. Knowledge related to IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) or HL-7 FHIR® interoperability profiles is an asset.
Your excellent interpersonal skills allow you to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments and integrate into national and international standardisation groups. You communicate clearly, simplify technical terms, and practise active listening to ensure understanding of needs.
